Biography

Sverre Larsen, born 1964, studied at the Royal. Danish Academy of Music as a student of Karen Lund Christiansen. He had his debut in 1987. After the debut he played numerous concerts both as a soloist and a chamber musician, both home and abroad, and in broadcasts on radio and TV.
From 1989 he studied for several years in Budapest at the Liszt Ferenc Academy with Ferenc Rados who also taught András Schiff, Dezső Ránki, and Zoltán Kocsis.

Sverre Larsen has a versatile repertoire, both as a chamber musician and a soloist, and as such he has recorded numerous works for CLASSICO and CDklassisk.

Following the recordings of the recent years Sverre Larsen has has given numorous solo recitals and since 2010 as a co-founder of Kube Ensemble he has each year played  varied series of chamber concerts. The classical piano quartet supplemented with the flute and the clarinet gives the oppurtunity of a varied programing both in sound and content.
